Decisions with respect to expectations from the Academy, education policy to be followed, performance measurement of the work of the Academy, financial and human resource management of the Academy, budget, partnerships, infrastructure updating, evaluation of training needs of judicial officers, etc. are all undertaken by a high level committee designated as the governing council. It comprises of besides the Director of the Academy, who is sitting judge of the Bombay High Court, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, five sitting judges of the Bombay High Court, the Attorney General of India, the Advocate General of Maharashtra, an academician and a mediator -both nominated by the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra, the Principal Secretary, Finance, Government of Maharashtra, the Principal Secretary and RLA, Law and Judiciary Department, Government of Maharashtra. Executive Committee
The day to day working of the Academy is looked after by an Executive Council who manages the Academy as per decisions of the Governing Council and reports to the Director of the Academy who also is member of the Governing Council. It comprises besides the Director of the Academy, two joint director of the Academy who take care of administration of the Academy. Three additional directors of the Academy, who look after academic side, are also members of the Executive Council.
Administration
Administration of the Academy is looked after by its Executive Committee with the help of its Administrative Officer who looks after hospitality, travel, registration, protocol, maintenance departments.
